Overview
What is the REJ 20K Challenge?
The REJ 20K Challenge is a multi-event race series brought to you by Running Events Jamaica. Designed to encourage endurance, consistency, and community, the Challenge invites participants to collectively complete 20 kilometres across three of REJ’s flagship races — culminating in a special recognition experience at the final event.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or stepping up your fitness game, the Challenge is open to individuals, corporate teams, running clubs, and fitness groups. Register once and you’re in for all three races.

Awards will be presented at the final event — Everyone’s A Winner / The Best Dressed Chicken 5K Run on Sunday, June 21 at Hope Gardens, Kingston. A dedicated REJ 20K Challenge Tent will host medal distribution, completion verification, and branded photo opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register for the REJ 20K Challenge?
Click the Register Now button on this page or click here to register. You register once and are automatically entered into all three races. There is no race day registration.
What does the Challenge entry fee include?
Your J$10,000 Challenge entry includes: entry into all three races, one Challenge bib valid across all events, official series tracking, an exclusive REJ 20K Challenge Finisher Medal, an exclusive REJ 20K Challenge Shirt, and priority pickup access for race shirts and medals at all three events.
Can I join if I missed the first race?
Yes. A late entry option is available at J$8,000 after the Guardian Group SHINE 5K Night Run. You must have completed Race 1 in the Run category. Late entry closes before the start of the NMIA/Kingston Airport 10K Run.
How is completion verified?
Completion of each race is verified via official chip timing records. All participants must compete in the Run category at each event. Your Challenge bib is used for tracking across all three races. You must cross the timing mats at the start and finish lines in order to receive a race time.
What happens if I lose my bib?
A replacement bib can be provided at a cost of J$1,600. Only official Challenge bibs will be recognised for completion tracking.
Do not switch or give your bib to anyone — switching of race events is not allowed once registration is closed.
Can I enter as a team?
Absolutely. Teams from corporate organisations, running clubs, and fitness groups are all welcome.
To register a corporate team, please contact us at (876) 967-4903 or send an email to info@runningeventsja.com. The team captain will receive a spreadsheet to enter the team’s registration information and will be invoiced.
Team rankings are based on the combined net time of the top five runners per team.
How are winners determined?
Individual winners are ranked by fastest cumulative net time across all three races. Team winners are ranked by the combined net times of their top five runners. Awards are presented at the final event on Sunday, June 21 at Hope Gardens, Kingston.
When and where do I collect my race packages?
Race packages must be collected before race day from Running Events Jamaica, 87-89 Tower Street, Kingston, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on the designated pickup days. There is no bib pick-up on race day.
Race 1 (SHINE 5K) — shirt and Challenge bib: Wednesday, May 20.
Race 2 (NMIA 10K) — shirt: Wednesday, June 3.
Race 3 (Everyone’s A Winner 5K) — shirt: Wednesday, June 17.
Your exclusive Challenge shirt and finisher medal are collected at the Challenge Tent on race day, June 21.
What are the race locations?
Race 1 — Guardian Group SHINE 5K Night Run: New Kingston.
Race 2 — NMIA/Kingston Airport 10K Run: Palisadoes.
Race 3 — Everyone’s A Winner / The Best Dressed Chicken 5K Run: Hope Gardens, Kingston.
What is the refund or transfer policy?
Entries are neither refundable nor transferable, and name changes are not allowed.
