MBJ Airports 5K & 10KThe Sangster International Airport "Team Sangster" 5K & 10K, hosted by MBJ Airports Limited, operator of the airport, returns on Saturday, September 10 at the Sangster International Airport with warm-up starting at 5:30am and race start at 5:45am.

The main objective of the Team Sangster 5K & 10K is to raise funds to support the academic aspirations of youths living in communities near the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay with much-needed scholarships.

The inaugural Team Sangster 5K in 2019 raised US$15,000 to support people affected by Hurricane Dorian in the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas, and US$3,500 towards upgrades at the Victory Whitehouse Early Childhood Centre in Montego Bay.

Additionally, the Sangster International Airport "Team Sangster" road race promotes a healthy and active lifestyle through running, while encouraging camaraderie among participating teams.

A special commemorative medal will be awarded to the first 1,000 finishers.


Follow the steps below to register for the Sangster International Airport "Team Sangster" 5K & 10K.

Registration is open to all individuals and teams (corporate, clubs, church groups and families).

Registration closes Wednesday, September 7, 2022 or upon achieving the event limit, whichever comes first. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Entries are neither refundable nor transferable, and name changes are not allowed.


The contribution is $2,000 per person. Children 12 years old and under - $1,500 each.

For teams with 15 or more persons, the contribution is $1,500 per person.

Individuals and teams must register and pay online using any Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card.

Packet Pick-Up

Race packets must be collected before race day from the MBJ Airports Limited's Administrative Office at the Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay, St. James on Wednesday - Friday, September 7 - 9 between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. THERE IS NO BIB PICK-UP ON RACE DAY.

Your bib number will be labelled with your name and marked for the event you entered. The bib is to be pinned to the front of your shirt. You must wear the bib number assigned to you. Switching of race events is NOT allowed once race registration is closed.

Each participant is responsible fo
r knowing and complying with all the official rules and regulations. Failure to comply with the rules of the event will subject you to disqualification.



The Sangster International Airport "Team Sangster" 5K & 10K will take participants from MBJ Airports' commercial car park on the grounds of the Sangster International Airport onto Queen’s Drive along the Elegant Corridor just beyond the Flankers traffic light/Ironshore traffic lights, and return along the same route.
