Food For The Poor 5K

Since its establishment in 1983, Food For The Poor has been improving the health, economic, social and spiritual conditions of the poor in Jamaica. They have supported programmes in housing, food, medical, water, sanitation, education, agriculture, outreach and micro-enterprise.

In continuing their fundraising efforts, Food For The Poor will host its 6th annual 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Thanks to your generous contributions and invaluable support for the past 5 years, Food For The Poor have provided over 250 houses for 700 individuals across the island. Additionally, six families have benefitted from funds raised between 2018-2019 from sustainable, income-generating projects through their agriculture programme. This year, the 5K will take a stance against domestic violence by donating five houses to victims of this growing offense, once the requisite documents are in place.
