THE EUROPEAN UNION - JAMAICA 5K & 10K
The Delegation of the European Union to Jamaica will host its second annual ‘European Union - Jamaica 5K & 10K’ on Sunday, March 10, 2024 starting at 6:30 am in downtown Kingston.
This year’s staging is being held under the theme, “All Together Against Crime and Violence”. The race will showcase the EU’s support of Jamaica’s Citizen Security Programme and the value of the partnership between the EU and Jamaica to tackle important challenges. The race will also highlight downtown Kingston's rich cultural heritage, with sections of the race route encompassing the city’s art walk and coastal boardwalk, with music along the course.
There will be a premium T-shirt and a special commemorative medal awarded to the first 3,000 finishers.

Registration is open to all individuals and teams - corporate, clubs, church groups, and family teams.
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
The contribution is $2,000 per person for individuals and teams.
Kindly note: Shirts will be prepackaged based on the size(s) indicated during registration. As such, Running Events Jamaica will try its best to honour your size request. If there are any changes, you will be contacted.
Entries are neither refundable nor transferable, and name changes are not allowed.

. The team captain will receive a spreadsheet to enter the team's registration information and will be invoiced.
Packet Pick-Up
Race packages will be ready for pick-up from the Office of the Delegation of The European Union to Jamaica, 8A Fairway Avenue, Kingston 5 on Thursday & Friday, March 7 - 8 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, or on Saturday, March 9 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. THERE IS NO NUMBER PICK-UP ON RACE DAY.
Each entrant will receive a bib with an embedded timing chip that will provide your personal time from start to finish. You must cross the timing mats at the start and finish lines in order to get a race time. Your bib number will be labeled with your name and marked for the event you entered, and must be pinned to the front of your shirt. You must wear the bib encoded with your information. DO NOT SWITCH OR GIVE YOUR BIB TO ANYONE. Switching of race events is NOT allowed once race registration is closed.
Each participant is responsible for knowing and complying with all the official rules and regulations. Failure to comply with the rules of the event will subject you to disqualification.
The backdrop for the EU-JA 5K & 10K is the scenic corridor of Downtown Kingston. The staging area for the event is the parking lot of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade at the corner of Port Royal Street and Hanover Street.
The 5K & 10K road race starts at the corner of Port Royal Street and George’s Lane, then left onto Duke Street, continues onto Ocean Boulevard, then onto Pechon Street, right onto Harbour Street, then left onto King Street, right onto Water Lane, right onto East Street, left onto Harbour Street, then proceed onto Micheal Manley Boulevard 5K runners will make a U Turn at Paradise Street returning to the finish at Port royal street.
The 10K runners will continue along the Boulevard making a U turn 250 meters after Hyslope Avenue returning along Michael Manley Boulevard, then onto Port Royal Street, to finish at the corner of Port Royal Street and Hanover Street.
