WATA/NUTTALL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PRE-MOTHER'S DAY 5K

Nuttall Memorial Hospital, serving Jamaica's healthcare needs and birth place of thousands of citizens over its 90-year history, will host its first ever road race on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 7:00am.
The WATA/Nuttall Memorial Hospital Pre-Mother's 5K will kick off a full day of activities that include a Health Fair held on the Hospital grounds on Caledonia Avenue.
The Hospital's aim is not only to raise funds, but to give back to the community by increasing awareness of health issues through the event. The Health Fair will feature free medical check-ups, including blood pressure, blood sugar, eye, heart, sexually transmitted diseases, and diabetes.
Proceeds from the 5K Road Race & Health Fair will be used to refurbish and equip the hospital's six-bedroom ward, the Gunter Wing, and the eight-bed Intensive Care Unit. This renovation forms part of the institution's overall five-year, J$250m redevelopment plan to completely refurbish the medical facility as part of its 90th anniversary.
The 5K race starts and finishes on Caledonia Avenue at the main Hospital entrance. The course promises to be fast and enjoyable to runners and walkers of all fitness levels.

The minimum age for entry in the Run is 10 years old and 7 years old for the Walk.

| ROUTE |
The 5K race starts and finishes on Caledonia Avenue at the main Hospital entrance. The course promises to be fast and enjoyable to runners and walkers of all fitness levels.
The race route starts on Caledonia Avenue, then left onto Tom Redcam Road, right onto Arthur Wint Drive, left onto Mountain View Avenue, left onto Stanton Terrace, left onto Old Hope Road, left onto Caledonia Avenue finishing at Hospital Memorial Hospital.

REGISTRATION
|
Registration is open to all individuals and teams (corporate, club, family, friends, co-workers).
Entry Fee - J$1,000 per person. Entry fees are NOT REFUNDABLE or TRANSFERABLE.

Registration closes Friday, May 3, 2013. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Race numbers will be distributed from Wednesday to Friday, May 8 - 10 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Running Events Limited, 87-89 Tower Street, Kingston. THERE IS NO NUMBER PICK UP ON RACE DAY. |
