Everyone's A Winner / The Best Dressed Chicken Road Race SeriesThe final race in the Everyone's A Winner / The Best Dressed Chicken Road Race Series is on Father's Day (Sunday, June 18) starting at 6:00am. On this special day, there will be something for everyone! A 5K Run, Walk and Stroller, plus a new 10K for those who want to take on the challenge of a longer distance.

Staged in the iconic Hope Botanical Gardens, each race has a unique theme and distances, and offers teams from corporate Jamaica along with individuals interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, an opportunity to track their progress over two races and to get motivated to improve their performance and overall health - all while having fun!

The EAWBDC Road Race Series continue to offer to our participants, a premium boutique race experience, with post-race favourites, such as tastings and refreshments courtesy of The Best Dressed Chicken, massages, a misting station and health checks by the Heart Foundation of Jamaica, awards presentation and entertainment.

Registration is limited to the first 2,000 entrants.

The Everyone's A Winner / The Best Dressed Chicken Road Race Series is a celebration of fitness and health. The Series is a unique opportunity for participants of all fitness levels to track their progress over two races and to get motivated to improve their performance and overall health – all while having fun!

Finisher Medal

The first 2,000 finishers will receive a medal at each event. The special commemorative medal is split in two - half of which will be presented at the first race on April 30 and the other half at the special Father's Day edition on June 18.


Stroller Award

Similar to last year, hard working parents and caregivers will be recognised with their own award category. If you’re pushing a child in a stroller, register for the '5K Stroller' race to qualify!


Are You Diabetic?

We are working closely with nutritionists and will be offering specially prepared post-race meals for you. As such, for online entry, kindly indicate 'Diabetic' in the Medical Conditions field, or check the 'Diabetic' box on the manual entry form.

Follow the steps below to register for the Everyone's A Winner / The Best Dressed Chicken 5K & 10K.

Registration is open to all individuals and teams (corporate, clubs, church groups).

In addition to the 5K Run/Walk/Stroller, there will be a 10K Run for those who want to take on the challenge of a longer distance.

Registration closes Wednesday, June 7 or upon achieving the event limit of 2,000 persons, whichever comes first. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.


Entry Fee


J$1,500 per person for individuals and teams. Entries are neither refundable nor transferable, and name changes are not allowed.

Package Pick-Up

Race packets must be collected before race day on Thursday and Friday, June 15 - 16 from 11:00am to 5:00pm at Running Events Limited, 87-89 Tower Street, Kingston; and on Saturday, June 17 at Hope Gardens (near the fountain / kindly ask the security for directions) between 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Remember, there is NO NUMBER PICK-UP ON RACE DAY!

Your bib number will be labelled with your name and marked for the event you entered. The bib is to be pinned to the front of your shirt. You must wear the bib number assigned to you. Switching of race events is NOT allowed once race registration is closed. Entrants in the Run event can Run and Walk. However, the Walk race is for Walkers Only.

Each participant is responsible for knowing and complying with all the official rules and regulations. Failure to comply with the rules of the event will subject you to disqualification.


Route


The backdrop for the 2017 EAWBDC Road Race Series is the scenic Hope Botanical Gardens in St. Andrew.


The 5K Run / Walk / Stroller races start on the famous Palm Drive, then exits Hope Gardens through the Historical Entrance, left up Old Hope Road, re-enter the Gardens at the Eastern Entrance, pass the Sunken Gardens before exiting by the Zoo, then right onto Gibson Drive, left onto East Charlemont Drive, left onto South Monterey Drive, right onto Hope Boulevard, left onto Gibson Drive, right onto South Monterey Drive, left onto Hope Boulevard, left onto Old Hope Road to re-enter the Gardens through the Historical Entrance to the finish on Palm Drive.
