Burger King invites you to RUN ROAD at the BK 5K & Relay for your chance to win a portion of $1 MILLION in cash and prizes for you and your school.
Run Road with Burger King at the 23rd staging of the annual BK 5K & Relay, set to light up Portmore on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 6:30am.
Since its inception in 2000, the Burger King 5K & Relay has stood as a pillar in the Jamaican sports community, offering competitive training opportunities for athletes, supporting school projects, and promoting community spirit.
This year, for the first time ever, Burger King will offer the BK BIG FINISH cash prize of $400,000.00 to the school with the highest number of entrants to complete the 5K Run/Walk in 35 minutes. The highest number means anyone who the school has registered as a part of their school’s Big Finish teams. All parents, guardians, aunties, uncles, alumni etc., who are willing to run or walk for their school and register through the school will qualify as a member of the school’s Big Finish team.
Participants can look forward to the exciting giveaways, complimentary meals courtesy of Burger King and the exhilarating energy with Jenny Jenny, the energizer bunny.
With plenty of prizes and surprises for schools, individuals, and teams, the 23rd staging of the BK 5K & Relay promises to be one of the most exciting events on the REJ calendar.
Follow the steps below to register for BK 5K & Relay.
Registration is open to all individuals and teams for the 5K Run/Walk. The popular 4x1500m Relay is open only to high school teams.
Registration closes Wednesday, November 8, 2023, or upon achieving the event limit, whichever comes first. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
Contribution (Per Person for individuals and teams)
5K Run/Walk: Adults - $2,500 | Children Under 19 - $1,000
Relay Team: Relay Team (consisting of 4 students) - $2,000 per team
Entries are neither refundable nor transferable, and name changes are not allowed.

. The team captain will receive a spreadsheet to enter the team's registration information and will be invoiced.
Packet Pick-Up
Your race packet with your bib must be collected before race day from Running Events Jamaica, 87-89 Tower Street, Kingston on Thursday and Friday, November 9 - 10 from 11:00am to 4:00pm each day, or on Saturday, November 11 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. THERE IS NO NUMBER PICK-UP ON RACE DAY.
Each entrant will receive a bib with an embedded timing chip that will provide your personal time from start to finish. You must cross the timing mats at the start and finish lines in order to get a race time. Your bib number will be labeled with your name and marked for the event you entered, and must be pinned to the front of your shirt. You must wear the bib encoded with your information. DO NOT SWITCH OR GIVE YOUR BIB TO ANYONE. Switching of race events is NOT allowed once race registration is closed.
Each participant is responsible for knowing and complying with all the official rules and regulations. Failure to comply with the rules of the event will subject you to disqualification.
The staging area for the BK 5K & Relay is the Burger King Portmore Mall, Portmore, St. Catherine.
